Tenth Agile Coach Camp Netherlands

We’re SO close! At the time of writing this we’re one week away from the tenth annual Agile Coach Camp Netherlands. Not that we started in 2014, no we did start in 2012 and unfortunately lost two Coach Camps due to COVID. However we’re back and we intend to make this one awesome.

Participants will be welcome to check in on Friday April 12th. All those staying at the venue will get their own key card.
Our BBQ will start at 18:00, a tradition we will keep alive also on this episode.

At 20:30 the introductions will start in the main conference room. We will also explain Open Space to those unfamiliar with it and then mingle before going to bed.

On Saturday our Marketplace starts after breakfast at 9:00. The first sessions will begin at 10:00.

Sunday will be the last day of Agile Coach Camp Netherland 2024. At around 14:00 we’ll have finished our last sessions and we will do a Retrospective on this Agile Coach Camp.

Agile Coach Camp ticket sale is open!

Is this your first time here? To know how the Agile Coach Camp works, please see our “How it Works” Page.

We have the following possibilities for you this Agile Coach Camp:

  • 4 Single rooms with private bathroom
    This room is one of the limited amount of rooms that allow a single occupant
  • 8 Single rooms with shared bathroom
    This room is in one of the appartements near the hotel. The appartments have two bedrooms with a two person bed. There is one large bathroom that the two bedrooms share
  • There are 2 Budget single rooms that are pretty small due to their location. These have a private, though very small, bathroom
  • There are 30 tickets available that will put you in a room with another participant to the Agile Coach Camp. When buying a ticket we will ask you if you have a participant in mind to share with. However we will always ask your help to choose a participant when assigning rooms.
  • It is also possible (specifically when you live near) to get a ticket just for participating on Saturday. This is a “One day ticket” and will not be available for the BBQ on Friday, nor for the closing on Sunday.

All tickets include breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the participation to the Agile Coach Camp event. The first day (Friday) starts off with a traditional BBQ. There will be a coin system for alcoholic drinks.

It is now also possible to buy sponsor tickets.

  • Friend sponsor: For €50 you can be a friend sponsor
    A friend sponsor gets a call out during starts and end sessions on Agile Coach Camp
  • Supporter sponsor: For €100 you can be a supporter sponsor
    A supporter sponsor also gets a call out
    A supporter sponsor can hand out goodies with logo to our participants
  • Patron sponsor: For €250 you can be a patron sponsor
    A patron sponsor also gets a call out
    A patron sponsor also can hand out goodies
    A patron sponsor can place a banner with company info on the event
  • Main sponsor: For €500 you can be a main sponsor
    A main sponsor also gets a call out
    A main sponsor can also hand out goodies
    A main sponsor can place two banners
    A main sponsor can address the participants during start and end of the event

Agile Coach Camp 2024

We had a great Agile Coach Camp 2023 last year. We were finally back after too long. The interruption by Covid did cause us to miss our 10 year anniversary.

Guess what?!

Our anniversary is this year!! 2024 is the year that we are organizing Agile Coach Camp for the tenth time at our wonderful location Hotel Restaurant De Vossenberg.

Agile Coach Camp 2020 Postponed

Dear Agile Coach Campers,

Last week was pretty hard for us as organizers. The advice from the government did not give us clear guidelines for our little event, as they limited their advice to events of larger than 100. With 50 participants there was not “reason” to cancel or postpone.

But we did not feel good about this. The growing number of people getting sick. Companies advising their employees to avoid large meetings of people and also to stay home to work from there. We were getting bad feelings about bringing together people in an event, no matter how small. Also if companies ask people to avoid events like ours, how would that affect our Coach Camp. Imagine our participants getting sick after joining our event. Imagine them or their parents dying.

First we sent out communication that we would continue on, but things kept deteriorating. By the end of the week we felt really bad about it. And thus we decided to review this decision. We sent out a poll to see what you would say. If you would actually join us. And we spoke to each other to look at the options. We also called the hotel and the insurance company to look at possibilities.

The hotel will have large problems. But they understood the pinch we are in. They expected a large loss of clientele.
The insurance company did not have an answer to our question. They would call back later.
The poll showed a good number of you would not be able to come. So for us the solution would be to move it. To hold it at a later moment.

We’ve made investments, bought materials and made other costs to create the level of quality you know from our previous coach camps. We are unable to pay back all the tickets, so postponing was the best answer.

The hotel offered us an option in November, a good date, and we offered to pay half the rooms, so they would not lose too much income at this point.

The insurance company was not as understanding. The government has set a limit on the number of participants of an event, but even with staff we won’t make it to 100 people. The insurance company keeps to that number though and says we have no reason to cancel or postpone. We need to see the insurance costs as a loss.

We now have a date to look forward to. We are thinking about a theme for this coach camp as well. It is the first time we have a coach camp set in autumn instead of spring. So nature in Vierhouten will be different. So get ready for November 6-8, 2020 Agile Coach Camp!

Training from the BACK of the ACCNL17

We would like to inform you that there will be a “Training from the BACK of the room”-train-the-trainer by Thorsten Oliver Kalnin, who will be a participant at ACCNL. This training is planned for Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th of April, immediately following the Agile Coach Camp. The location will also be Hotel de Vossenberg in Vierhouten. A great opportunity for you if you want to learn to create and facilitate trainings that help people connect deeply with the topic and enable them to apply it to their work. It won’t be surprising to you that it involves self-organisation and taking context into account.
